Lavender Syrup

I am on a homemade coffee journey and once I had “enough” of my vanilla syrup and the brown sugar cinnamon syrup (for now), I decided to try to make some new “fun” flavored syrups. I see lavender syrup is very popular lately, so I decided to try that next. Here’s how I made mine

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup sugar

  • 1 cup water

  • 2 tsp dried lavender (I used 2 sprigs of dried lavender that a friend sent me)

Method:

  1. Combine all your ingredients into a saucepan and stir so the sugar is not stuck to the bottom

  2. Place your saucepan on the stove on medium heat and allow to come to a simmer

  3. Simmer your syrup for 5 minutes or until the syrup has reduced a little bit.

  4. Strain your syrup into a jar once it has cooled down

I store mine in the refrigerator. Let me know if you guys try this one and what you think! :)
