Homemade Goldfish Crackers

When my oldest wanted to try goldfish crackers, I knew I was up for the task. Here’s how I made them.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups flour

  • 16 oz cheddar cheese, shredded

  • 8 tbsp butter, cold, cut into cubes

  • 4 tbsp cold water

  • 1.5 tsp salt

Method:

  1. Using a food processor, blend all your ingredients except the water until combined.

  2. Add in your water little by little until your dough starts to come together. You want it to be similar to a play-doh consistency.

  3. Once combined, form your dough into a disc and wrap in plastic wrap or parchment paper. Refrigerate for at least 20 minutes

  4. Preheat your oven to 350F

  5. Remove your dough from the refrigerator and roll it out relatively thin. Using a fish cracker mold, cut your fish crackers and place on a greased baking sheet. Be sure to save the scraps and roll them out as well so you utilize as much dough as possible.

  6. Bake in your preheated oven for 10-15 minutes, keeping an eye on them to make sure they don’t get too crispy. Allow to cool for 5-10 minutes before enjoying

Let me know if you guys try this one and what you think! :)

PS: I have added a goldfish cracker mold to my amazon storefront. I do not expect anyone to use my links but just know that it does help me continue to share recipes with you all for free! Thank you for being here :)
